A Feeding Station for Fish That Eat Slowly

Some fish can't compete at feeding time. Copperband butterflyfish have long, narrow snouts made for picking food out of small openings, and faster tank mates often beat them to the food. This reef-safe feeder holds food behind a small feeding hole, so a precise eater can pick at it at its own pace. It mounts with a suction cup.

Built for Selective Eaters

Designed with copperbands in mind, the same idea suits other slow or selective feeders, such as longnose butterflyfish and dragonets. Pick the hole size that matches your fish: 4mm, 5.5mm, and 7mm canisters are available, along with custom sizes. The octagonal feeding holes are designed to make it easy for fish to pick their food out.

What's Included

Choose a single feeder or the set of three. The set includes one screw-on base, one suction cup, and three feeding canisters with 4mm, 5.5mm, and 7mm holes. A single feeder includes one base, one suction cup, and one canister in the size you choose.

Size and Material

Each feeder is 60mm (2.36") across and 52mm (2.05") tall, printed in PETG. It's reef-safe, and PETG shrugs off harsh chemicals but starts to soften above 85°C (185°F), so keep it in the water and away from heat.

Care and Cleaning

Cleaning is easy. For a deep clean, use a 1:10 bleach-to-water solution, then rinse thoroughly and let it dry before it goes back in your tank. For lighter messes, warm tap water and dish soap do the job. Regular cleaning keeps anything weird from colonizing it.

Getting Your Fish Started

Fish can take time to accept a new feeding method. Starting with a larger hole size and being patient usually helps.

Made to Order

Every feeder is printed to order, so it may show slight layer lines or variances from the photos. Background scenes in the photos are AI-generated. I inspect each one for structural faults and visual blemishes before it ships. If anything is wrong with your order, contact us and we'll make it right.
