Keep Infusions Running During Pump Changeovers

During an ALS or critical care transport, moving a patient on multiple drips from the hospital's pumps to yours usually means swapping IV tubing, because transport pumps rarely match the hospital's make or model. You want the vasopressors to keep running while you work, so you pull the drip chamber out of the norepinephrine bag to prime your own line with it. Then you try to hang the drip chamber on the IV pole, and it inevitably won't stay put.

How It Works

This holder has three slots for drip chambers and a center hole that hangs on any standard IV pole hook. Pull the drip chamber out of the medication bag, seat it in a slot, and hang the holder on the pole. The infusion keeps running through the hospital's pump while you spike the bag with your own line, prime it, set your pump, and swap it in at the IV pigtail. You get a complete pump switchover with no gap in pressors or any other time-sensitive medication.

It was designed with ALS transport in mind, but it works in any clinical setting where you need to keep a drip chamber upright.

Printed in Flexible TPU

The holder is printed in TPU, a tough, rubber-like material. It flexes enough to grip a drip chamber snugly without cracking, and it holds up to being dropped or tossed in a bag. To clean it, wipe it down with alcohol or disinfectant wipes.

Add your name, unit or agency for $5. Text is laser marked directly on the TPU and comes out off-white to gray. The exact shade depends on the color of the holder and can't be chosen.

Every item is printed to order, so it may show slight variances from the photos. Filament color varies from roll to roll, so colors can't be guaranteed to match the photos or a future order of the same color. FDM printing can leave layer lines and other small imperfections.
